Dr. Goris called Steve today to tell him that the final culture results showed a type of Staph infection sensitive to certain antibiotics. That's a bad infection but it was not MRSA. He is very lucky there. It was a very scary experience and things could have gotten even hairier. He is being released sometime today. He will go home on 2 oral antibiotics and antiimflamatory meds. He is supposed to take it easy for a couple of days and go to the doctor on Tuesday and make sure he is still improving.
