Andrea and Byron's Wedding

On Saturday, October 30th, 2010, I gained another brother-in-law. My sister, Andrea and Byron were married in Owensboro. I was honored to be a bridesmaid and stand up with her as she took her vows in front of God, family, and friends. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was awesome as well. They make a great couple and they seem very happy together. We are so happy for both of you. We want to welcome Byron to the family. We are very lucky to have you.  Congrats Andrea and Byron.

Sophie kinda freaked out when she saw the crowd. So, my dad was trying to coax her down the aisle and get her started. He ended up walking with her all the way down the aisle and throwing leaves. How cute. When she got to the end, she threw her bucket on the floor and ran to Stephanie.

Of Course a Fire Truck showed up with its lights on. Conner did not want to get out of the truck. He loved the big steering wheel. The firemen happened to have a fire hat for him too.

Conner couldn't make it to the end of the reception, so he found comfort in My Uncle Bill's arms for about an hour and a half.



Andrea's Rehearsal Dinner

Friday night was Andrea and Byron's Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner. It was at the church in Owensboro and then the McDonald family had Olive Garden catered.

Sophie was the Flower Girl or Leaf girl. She threw leaves. At rehearsal, she got to the end of the Aisle, realized she had some left over and turned her bucket upside down and dumped them out.

There goes the leftovers.

I am really not picky. Steve would be the picky one in buying our next house. My only wishes would be, an open floor plan that can fit more than 3 people in the living room for entertaining, a lot of counter space, more storage, a porch, and some land.

Happy 60th

My mom turned 60 last night and my dad turned 60 on September 15th!! Last night we had a huge surprise party for them in their barn. Dad thought the party was for mom, and didn't know it was for him. We had to let him in on the plans so he would clean his own barn. Mom had no idea until they were driving down the highway and saw 40 vehicles in her yard. It was a great night. There were a lot of great friends, good laughs, and good food. Happy Birthday Mom and Dad!!!

 A Place I Have Traveled

My all time favorite vacation was Hawaii. I spent 2 weeks on the Island of Oahu with Stacy and Lori visiting my friend Bunner in 2001. It was the most amazing vacation. Hawaii is undescribable. I would love to go back there several times. It is the most beautiful place on earth in my eyes.  Unfortunately, that was before I had a digital camera, so all of the photos are stored away in a box.

Byron's Fireman Combat Challenge

Sunday, my future brother-in-law, (less than 2 weeks), Byron, competed in the Fireman's Combat Challenge. He finished 1st in his age group. His time on Sunday was the fastest in the world for the tandem group yet this season. Wow.  Last year, Byron finished 3rd in the world, and a few years before that, he finished 2nd in the world. They have a whole season of competitions around the world and your times are kept at each competition. At the end of the season, they name the top ranked. Sunday, was just a normal competition and we got to watch what he does. Way to Go Byron!!!!
