Michigan day 4

Monday morning, we got up and ate breakfast at the Great wolf Lodge. We checked out and headed to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Conner was a baby the last time he came to the Dunes, so this was really his first time to experience it. The weather was beautiful. He loved climbing and digging in the sand.
We stopped for Pizza in Manistee and headed back to Muskegon. Aunt Elaine made us another yummy supper.

Michigan Day 3

On Sunday Morning, we headed to Taverse City. We went to the Cherry Festival and watched the Blue Angels. Then, we went to check into our hotel at the Great wolf Lodge. Conner had been looking forward to this hotel for months. He knew he had his own bunk bed, tv, and bunk house den. One of the first things he had to do was jump on the hotel bed! That is a must for him.
We went down to the water park, explored the hotel, had dinner, and attended the bedtime story in the lobby. The hotel was great.

Michigan Day 2

Conner wanted to go back to the beach this morning, so we went early because Mike was having a party at his house at 2. The weather was about 70 but next to the lake was very windy. We all had jackets on and I was wrapped up in a blanket on the beach. All he wanted to do was dig!!!
We went to Mike's house at 2 for a cookout. Scott, Donna, Austin, Brian, Aunt Elaine, Mike, Brett, Drew, Danny, and Us were there. It was so much fun!! Afterwards, we stopped for ice cream. Austin and Brian came back to Elaine's to spend the night and Conner and Brian really hit it off. Brian got Conner hooked on Wii and Mine Craft! Oh Boy!

Michigan Vacation

We arrived at Aunt Elaine's late Thursday night. On Friday, the 4th of July, we went to Grand Rapids to the John Ball Zoo. This was our second trip to this zoo and we love it there. On the way in to the zoo, Conner tripped and skinned his knee pretty bad. He was very upset and it was right where the knee bends and was going to make walking for a few hours painful. So, we rented him a stroller and went on with the day. We stopped at the gift shop and bought him a disposable camera and that kind of took his mind off of his knee.
After the zoo, we went back to Muskegon and stopped at Pier Marquette Park to play in the sand. Conner was 3 when we were in Michigan last, so everything was like seeing it for the first time. He loves to dig and Steve brought Conner's real shovel with us, so no plastic toys to worry about.
Aunt Elaine made us a great dinner and we rested until time for fireworks. We went down to the Channel to watch fireworks on the lake. We could see for miles. Constant firework shows in every direction you looked. It was beautiful and a different spin on the 4th of July.
