Steve's Finished Project

Today, Steve's man couch came in to go with his man chair. Now his man cave is finished. I am not sure why he got a couch since his butt hasn't really left the chair since he got it last Tuesday.

Fat Boy's Contest Finals

As I posted before, Steve joined the Fat Boy's Contest at Nut Club this year. Last night was the night to see who won. It is based on who lost the most percentage of their body weight. Out of 23 men who entered,,,,, Steve took 3rd place. He lost a total of 29 lbs or 13.24% of his weight and won $250. The winner lost 22.05% of his weight and won $1000. Second place lost 13.73% of his weight and won $500. The part that really sucks was Steve missed 2nd place by .5 percent.
I am really proud of Steve though. He stuck to it and looks great. Now, for the next 4 weeks, they must maintain their weight or pay $5 for every pound they gain back. Keep up the good work Steve.

A Baby Shower at Work

Today, the people I work with threw me a Baby Shower. We had yummy food, cake, and punch. They also got Steve, the baby, and I some really wonderful gifts. They got us a car seat, a high chair that sits on a kitchen chair, a high chair that fits on the table for traveling or the camper, a car mirror, a diaper bag, some bibs, seat protectors for the car, and a very nice size gift card to Babie's R Us. The gift card will come in very handy and buy us lots of things we realize we need later. We also got lots of onesies, pants, safety latches, a photo album, and a blanket that matches his room bedding. Thanks to everyone for your generosity and kindness. Steve and I are so appreciative. You guys are the Best.

A Valentine from Baby

Happy Valentine's Day to all. My unborn son left me a Valentine. He Left me a teddy bear and a card he signed himself. Pretty good for a fetus. He is going to be a sweety like his daddy.
Did you really think I would slip up and show his name?

He smells like chocolate

6 1/2 Month Ultrasound

Thursday, we went for our 6 1/2 month Ultrasound. My sister, Andrea went with us and got to meet her nephew for the first time. He shot her a wave during his photo shoot. He also stuck his big toe in his mouth and we could see his jaw moving as he sucked. It was hilarious. Thanks to the great ultrasound techs who pick up on the really cool things, she said "OH MY, is that his foot?" Then she looked and found both of his hands and said, "Yeah that is his big toe in his mouth he is sucking on." He shortly after took his foot out and put a thumb in and started sucking on it. Are we having a human or an ape?

Do you see anything wrong with this picture?

Hey, we pay big bucks every 4 weeks to use that machine.

We might as well get a lot of use out of it.

These two characters didn't find anything unusual.

Fat Boys Contest

Steve entered the "Fat Boys Contest" a few weeks ago. It is a contest that all the nut clubbers have the opportunity of joining every January. It costs $100 to enter and the winner takes home $1000 this year, 2nd place takes $500 and the 3rd place takes home $250. The winner is decided next Tuesday. It is based on the percentage of weight you lost. Just 5 more days. Then, exactly four weeks from Tuesday's weigh in, the guys are weighed again. For every pound you gained in those 4 weeks, you pay $5. There is an opportunity to win more money.
I am really proud of Steve. He has never really had to diet before. He has always been thin. I think last years camping season and beer consumption pushed him a little over the top. He decided to lose the weight on his own. He has been so dedicated to his new diet and I haven't caught him cheating at all. I am buying a lot less beer these days with him on a diet and me knocked up. As of today, Steve has lost 20 pounds. Way to go, Honey. You look great. Keep up the good work.

These pants were hard to button a few weeks ago.

Don't you hate guys? They always lose weight in the abdomen when they diet.

In women, the boobs are the first to shrink.

The Baby's Bedding

The Baby's Bedding came in yesterday. We were both so excited. Now, it seems even more real. The room is completely ready, we are just waiting on the baby.

Steve's New Chair

Well, the walls are painted now in Steve's Room. Orange. Something different, but very beautiful. His man chair came in last night. It is a Lane Comfort King Recliner. It is designed to hold a man up to 6 feet 8 inches and 280 pounds. When he leans back in it, there is still room at the bottom and his feet don't hang off. When I sit in the chair, without being reclined, my feet are not even close to touching the floor. He is in love with his new chair. I love it too. We may fight over it. We are still waiting on his new couch to come in.

Unexpected Day Off

When the alarm went off today, I made a face and said, "God, do I have to go to work Today?, I played pregnant twister last night and I really don't know if I can get out of Bed today." Well, he didn't answer right away, but the phone call came shortly after.
I got up at 4:45 a.m., took a shower, and was getting dressed, hating myself for playing twister with Kyle, when my phone rang. My boss, Mary, said "Are you on your way to work yet?" I said "NO" thinking OH @#$%, am I late? She said "Well, don't bother, there was a water main break on Colombia Street and Deaconess Hospital is without water. We can't operate today." I about fell over. How often does that happen? Thanks, God. I will be extra good today. Or ......................at least I will try. Have a great day everyone!

A Night with Kyle

Tonight, our Buddy Kyle came over while his mommy went to his kindergarten round up. I can't believe it is time for him to go to Kindergarten. He will be 5 in April. He kept us entertained as usual. He is such a great kid. We played "Birthday Party" as we do every time Kyle comes over. It is a box of hats, horns, glasses, plates and napkins that we have around the house and Kyle never forgets where it is and asks to play every time he is here. I don't know why he likes it so much, but it can entertain us for an hour or so. Then, as usual, we switch to playing TWISTER. This was the first time, we played Pregnant Twister. I didn't do as well as I usually do. I couldn't bend as well this time.
When we asked Kyle what I had in my Belly, He said, "A Rock star." He has quite the imagination. He also told me that my belly looked like I had eaten too many cinnamon rolls. He always says what's on his mind. We also asked him what we should name the baby and he said, Christoper, Mr. Burper, Or Mr. Farter. I said "Do babies really fart?" He said "Oh Yeah they do."
Thanks Kyle for spending the evening with us. We needed some laughs.
Twister The three of us have been playing "Birthday Party" since Kyle was little. I can't believe he is old enough to go to kindergarten. Look how little he wasHe loves those glasses.
Look how little his hands were He was just over 2 years here

Meeting Isaac

Tonight, we went to Mark and Jennifer's house to meet Isaac. He slept the whole time we were there and only made a couple of peeps toward the end of our visit. He is absolutely adorable. He is three weeks old today. We enjoyed our visit. Thanks guys. Jennifer loaned me her maternity clothes that she is finished with. I am so happy about that. I get tired of wearing the same thing over and over. Now, I can mix things up a bit. Thanks Jen.

Steve's Latest Project

Steve started his latest project this weekend. Our goal is to have every room inside the house painted before the baby gets here. That means doors, base boards, and walls. Then, I go behind him and wash the windows, curtains, blinds, and shampoo the carpets. It has been 3 years since we have painted and several of the rooms have taken a beating. It's time. We want it all done, so when @#$%^& gets here, we can sit back and enjoy him without thinking of all the things that need to be done.
As most of you know, we have two living rooms. One is his and one is mine. We don't always go to separate rooms in the evenings, but it is nice to be able to escape from the other's manly or girly TV shows and read or do your own thing. Well, this weekend, his living room is getting the overhaul so he gets to make all the decisions. We went Friday night and he ordered all new furniture for his man cave because the other was sooooo old and beaten up. Then we went to Lowe's and he picked out the paint. The color may surprise you.

The Before Color.......TaupeTaupe The new color: Brick Hearth After 2 coats. It is going to take several coats.

I will Show you the finished project when it gets done.
